69 Years Of Al-Naqba

Usually when a good comrade refers to 'The Catastrophe' we understand what they are referring to -- the collapse of the Socialist-Fraternal system world-wide from the years 1989-1992. For Arabs, and particularly those of the dispossessed Palestinian People, this locution means something else. It is said that 'Naqba' roughly translates into 'The Catastrophe' as well as some others, though I will accept that transliteration for our uses. Our world has gone through such trauma, agony, and suffering in the 20th and 21st centuries that it is hard to believe it is real. Of course, we are celebrating and praising the one-hundred year anniversary of the epoch-making year of 1917. However, this year-long celebration is tempered with the sadness: The sadness of the revolutionary potential of the Communist Party Of the Soviet Union being exhausted for an amazing 25 years now, the situation in Bolivarian Venezuela, the continued existence of the Islamic State Caliphate, the besieging of independent third-world regimes by Empire, Capitol, and the Quran. Could it be the saddest of all that the human family, and the poor Palestinian people are still saddled with their situation-- 69 years after the treacherous and furtive deceleration of a Jewish State, there is still no official, strong, and independent state for the Palestinian Arabs. From the time the Arab governments blundered their first attempt to stem the Zionist tide in 1948, the Palestinian people and their organizations have gotten progressively weaker. As we all know, the territory that the oh-so generous Zionists permit them to live on is shrinking with every decade. But something about this situation does not add up. Is there not more support than ever for an independent Palestine? Is there not the most ever understanding worldwide that Israel fits the definition of the world-crime of Apartheid ('Apart-hood')? The will does not match the maneuvers of power. If the peoples of the 'democracies' world-wide took plebiscites we know they would support a strong, independent Palestinian state, but why are their so-called 'democratic institutions' not functioning in their supposed 'purpose,' that is, to reflect 'the will of the people?' And we know which country is the decisive country here -- it is not Israel itself really-- of course it is the United States of America, which daily delivers and donates religious justification, weapons, diplomatic cover, and even offers its' reputation ever year for the modern-day Jewish zealots, grabbing ever-more territory. They are only allowed to do this because of police and IDF cover, and the Israeli authorities only allow this because they have cover from the United States. If Israel were truly isolated, they would have to seriously think about every move they made, to cautiously evaluate which shameless apartheid measure they would implement that day. For the world has been watching, but as long as Empire stands, the oppression of the Palestinian people will continue. The free peoples of the world extend their support to the brave Palestinian people daily, awaiting the glory day, the re-birth of Palestinian just independence, under the direction of the Palestinian Liberation Organization & the Popular Front For the Liberation Of Palestine, not the Hamas religious fundamentalists and the Fatah push-overs. History has a method, a mysterious way of equalizing oppression. The extreme Zionists will have to atone for their sins, the same way that the unbelievable characters from their books must. 

Long live the Palestinian People!
